How do I setup my zMailCloud account on an Android device?

This article contains the steps to setup your zMailCloud account on an Android device using an Exchange/ActiveSync connection.

Please back up any and all data on the device before you initiate the following steps:

From your Android home screen, select the Email/My Accounts icon found under Settings:

Click Add New Account

Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync as the account type (or Corporate Email).

Click ‘Manual Setup’

Enter your zMailCloud account settings:

  • Email Address: your full zMailCloud email address
  • Server Address: yourcutomaddress.zmailcloud.com (if you are unsure what your custom server address is, please contact support@zmailcloud.com)
  • Domain: leave blank (or \username@yourdomain.com)
  • Username: zMailCloud email address
  • Password: zMailCloud account password

Check ‘This server requires an SSL connection’

Click ‘Next’.
Select the data you want to sync (Mail, Contacts, and Calendar).
Click ‘Finish Setup’.

Additional info: Some Android devices require that you must 1st navigate to the web client using your phone’s web broswer and accept the security certificate at https://server.zmailcloud.com/ before setting up your account.

Congratulations! You have successfully authenticated your zMailCloud account on your Android device.

How to setup CardDAV Mac Address Book sync in Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

This article describes the steps to sync your zMailCloud account using CardDAV as the connection type in Mac Address Book. Please backup your Address Book before syncing your account.

1. To begin, open Mac Address Book (Contacts) and go to Contacts > Preferences:

2. Under the Accounts tab, press the ‘+’ sign to add a new account:

3. Enter your account information.

Account type: CardDAV
Username: your full email address (in this example, jay@01.com. Replace jay@01.com with your own zMailCloud email address).
Password: your password
Server: yourcompany.zmailcloud.com (Note: Accounts which login at https://server.zmailcloud.com/ to check webmail should use the server address: server.zmailcloud.com)

Click Create when you are finished making changes. Your account should sync to Mac Address Book after this step. If you have any questions or need further assistance please submit a ticket.

How to setup CardDAV in Mac OS X

This article describes the steps to sync your zMailCloud account using CardDAV as the connection type in Mac Address Book. Please backup your Address Book before syncing your account.

1. To begin, open Mac Address Book and go to Contacts > Preferences.

For the account type, select Other > CardDAV, select ‘Manually configure’ & enter your zMailCloud account information:

User name: your full zMailCloud address
Password: your password
Server: yourcompany.zmailcloud.com

Click Create when you are finished making changes. Your account should sync to Mac Address Book after this step. If you have any questions or need further assistance please submit a ticket.
